My birthday is coming up soon In August the First week of that month to be precise ( the 8th). There is so much I want to do but mostly be around people who love me and care for me. When I turned 24 I was with family for my birthday same for my 25th and those were great birthdays. This time will be no different. A well needed vacation YES! My birthday falls on a Thursday this year I plan on making that weekend great. Funny part is I’m still paying off my credit cards from my sisters graduation, a cancelled flight to North Carolina to see an Ex and Home Care Assistance for an Ex. I only use my credit cards for things that are important. I think this time I will use my credit cards for something fun and crazy. This will be another crazy 8th. Not to mention when your single how much more money you have to spend on you and people that love and care for you back. What did Queen Latifah say in that movie ” The Last Holiday”?… ” I’m just going to blow it”!
Hours Before Departure
I had a few appointment’s to take care of for work today and from time to time customers or clients see me and want to talk a little. Today however I run into an old friend. She gave me the biggest huge I’ve gotten in a long time and said she couldn’t believe how different I looked. We got the talking and she told me about her sister. Her sister has cancer and is taking care of her. She said she was having a hard time working full time and being around to help her around when she wasn’t feeling well. Everything was a mess at her house and she needed some help. I said to her I knew of a place that could help. I told her about Home Care Assistance and how I used them for my ex-girlfriend when she got home for the hospital. They take you to appointments, pick up your medicine, clean for you, cook for you, and even help you around the house. I told her that unfortunately I couldn’t be there for her because I lived here in California and she lived in North Carolina. I did what I could from where I was. As if reading the look on my face a I was telling her this she stopped me and said, “ Why did you say your ex ?”. I laughed and tears started to form in my eyes. I said to her, “ well, I wasn’t the only one she had an eye on she’s happily taken.” She gave me an huge and said, “ don’t cry you find someone way better shit happens”. I replied, “ I’m not going to cry I’m just a little hurt that’s all you know me to giving to the wrong people”. She asked me more question about Home Care Assistance and I of course was happy to answer. She once again gave me a huge and told me thank you again. We exchanged numbers and that was that. As I walked back to my car I looked back at her and all I could think was how awesome a person she was for taking care of someone and not being selfish. She’s 23 yrs old. I was impressed. I turned the key then my phone started to ring… it was her. Before I could say anything she said… “ I just wanted to say you’re a wonderful person you truly brightened up my day and when I’m back in town I would love to hangout and really caught up.” “I’d love to.” She laughed and we said good bye once again. I repeated in my head what she said, “you’re a wonderful person” I then looked at my arm. I of course teared up and let the tears fall. I put my head back and wiped my face. “Be ever wonderful”. What an interesting start to the weekend.
